Heck, we ARE gamers. Every member of our Board of Directors has at least two decades of gaming experience behind them.
We’ve been actively involved in gaming communities for as long as we could hold keyboards, mouses and controllers. We’ve made long lasting friendships and helped build some of the best gaming communities in history. We’ve mitigated controversy, devalued negativity, and promoted positive, inclusive interaction in every game we’ve played over the years.
Double-heck, we recently raised over 55K dollars to help a fellow player pay for the life-saving chemotherapy treatments he needed in the MMORPG community, Shroud of the Avatar. We turned a serious initiative into a fun and rewarding (inclusive) experience for SoTA players that changed lives and made gaming history at the same time.
See, that’s what we do. We create a safe space for gaming communities, a friendly face to turn to when times get tough, and are a force for good that promotes positive social change, creates friendships and everlasting memories for the players we work with.
Gamers are extremely loyal to the games and the developers they love, and sharing that love with one another only tightens that bond for years (even decades) to follow. But, for developers, its no easy task building a rock-solid community for your player base. You have deadlines, goals, and financial obligations to meet. You have a business to run.
But, you also care about the well-being of your players. You want to see them safe, protected, and healthy. And, when the worse happens, you want to see them supported and taken care of. AERIE Fund is here to help!
